The recommended treatment program for Tulsa area lawns would consists of six treatments per year for general weed control and color. You may change or alter the program based on your financial or agronomic needs. - Fertilization for early spring green-up.
- Lawn Treatment #3 – (May-June)
- Granular fertilization for continued color and thickness of turf.
- Post Emergent broadleaf weed control for henbit, clover, chickweed, dandelions etc. that may be brought in by birds, wind, or equipment.
- Lawn Treatment #4 – (July-Aug)
- Granular fertilization for continued color and thickness of turf.
- Post Emergent broadleaf weed control for henbit, clover, chickweed, dandelions etc. that may be brought in by birds, wind, or equipment.
- Lawn Treatment #5 – (Sept-Oct)
- Pre Emergent weed control to prevent fall and over wintering broadleaf weeds such as henbit, clover, chickweed and dandelions.
- Post emergent weed control of any existing broadleaf weeds.
- If applicable – Granular fertilization of fescue turf for cool season growth and new seed germination.
- Lawn Treatment #6 – (Oct-Nov)
- Pre Emergent weed control to prevent winter broadleaf weeds and problem grasses (poa anna).
- Post emergent weed control of any existing broadleaf weeds.
